Top-Down View of a Small Barrel-Type Cactus52 viewsNear Saguarita, AZ, on one of our many day trips, we sought out Saguaro Cactus to photograph. We did not find a great many, but we were not bored! This was a small barrel-type cactus about 18 inches tall, and probably about 12-15 inches across, depending on whether you count the spines or not.

Pugliese - Failure to Launch51 viewsThis was a dough that just died on the proving rack. All looked good until I put it to rise for baking, and then... Nothing much happened. It baked up gooey and very sticky-gooey in the center. Most of the evidence points to over-fermentation during bulk rise. Threw out the entire batch.
