Osprey on a Stick62 viewsWe spotted this Osprey from the car as we drove along a wetland area in Ellensburg. We found a place to park, and he watched us watch him for a long time before he flew off. At that we were never able to get very close because of intervening brush and water. The 500mm brought me as close as it could.

White Crowned Sparrow61 viewsA nice break from the Bluebirds. This little guy came around while we were tracking the Bluebirds, and he posed perfectly for me.

Bald Eagle at Skagit WMA55 viewsThis eagle permitted us to approach his tree, walk directly, well almost directly :), underneath, and camp out for 20+ minutes before he finally took off. He was up 60 feet or so, yielding the bottom-up view. Not the best view, I admint, but beggars can't be choosers.

Cedar Waxwing50 viewsAn adult. There were a few juveniles as well, but too hidden in the bush for decent photos.
05112020_GreatHornedOwl_671_PortfolioExp.jpg
Great Horned Owl49 viewsHe played "possum" for this. Notice just one eye (Left) actually open, and that one not very much. Not too concerned about me.

Great Blue Heron49 viewsWe stumbled upon this This Great Blue Heron on our way out of the area. He was not too elusive, but also not so cooperative. The bright log in the background overpowers this shot, making it more of a snapshot than an "image", but it's still one of the better Great Blue shots in my collection.
