Sunsets were high drama almost every night!Another sunset shot, taken from 50 feet back of our trailer. This was the vening view out the window, almost every night!

Nearby dry lake bed sunsetWe traveled just outside Willcox, on the road to Chihuahua and Ft Bowie, to a dry lake bed, just for the sunset. we were well rewarded for the effort.

Golden Hour ViewsAs the sun began to get low the Eastern hills and valley between lighted up beautifully. The clouds were, as usual, amazing in the early sunset light.

Glorious Desert SumsetThe clouds were moving very fast as the sun set over the mountains to the east. In fact, we were chased in by the rain at the end of this shoot. The sunset colors in the Southwest are incredibly beautiful.

Dry Lake Sunset ShowerA brief rain shower blew in as we were photographing the incredible sunset colors at the nearby dry lake bed. The sun had just gone down, and the light was changing really rapidly. This shot is not all that good, but it is the best of many, so I kept it.

Top-Down View of a Small Barrel-Type CactusNear Saguarita, AZ, on one of our many day trips, we sought out Saguaro Cactus to photograph. We did not find a great many, but we were not bored! This was a small barrel-type cactus about 18 inches tall, and probably about 12-15 inches across, depending on whether you count the spines or not.

Really Big Barrel CactusNear Saguarita, AZ, on one of our many day trips, we got lucky and found this near the road. Lucky, because it was behind a barbed wire fence that looked as nasty as the spines on this cactus.
