Bald Eagle at Skagit WMAThis eagle permitted us to approach his tree, walk directly, well almost directly :), underneath, and camp out for 20+ minutes before he finally took off. He was up 60 feet or so, yielding the bottom-up view. Not the best view, I admint, but beggars can't be choosers.

Stately ProfileThis is another shot of the Bald Eagle that was so patient with us.

Cedar WaxwingAn adult. There were a few juveniles as well, but too hidden in the bush for decent photos.

Bald Eagle Takes FlightHundreds of frames came down to this one, just as he takes flight.

Belted KingfisherFunny bird. Raucus, rowdy, and entertaining as heck.

Great Blue HeronWe stumbled upon this This Great Blue Heron on our way out of the area. He was not too elusive, but also not so cooperative. The bright log in the background overpowers this shot, making it more of a snapshot than an "image", but it's still one of the better Great Blue shots in my collection.

Back Yard Great Blue Heron IIIThis was the best, but still not all that good, reflection shot I got. This bird fished the entire rim of the pond, and I never saw him catch, or even try to catch, anything. Talk about skunked!

Back Yard Great Blue Heron IThe park is pumping out our pond because of the smell and the mosquitoes, and as the water gets lower the fishing gets better! I stood on our back porch to take this.

Back Yard Great Blue Heron IIThis heron stayed, until someone happened by and scared him off.

Osprey On Thunder Island at Cascade LocksThis Osprey did not seem to be very happy to be photographed. Photographed on our camping trip in August of 2021

White-Headed WoodpreckerThis fellow was very cooperative in landing on the tree closest to our trailer at the KOA in Leavenworth.
