Red Shouldered HawkThis was a long way away; over 100 yards, but the 200-500mm lens zoomed him in anyway!

Marbled Godwit cruising a Santa Barbara BeachThis bird was oblivious to my presence as long as I did not get too close, and as long as I got out of the way! The sun was birght this day.

Keeping an Eye OutGreat Horned Owl in the "Owl Shed" at Whitewater Draw Wildlife Preserve near Willcox, AZ. This is an open, but artificial, nesting "shed" that is actually right next to the parking lot. Mamma is on the nest at the other end of the shed.

Northern Harrier hunting at Whitewater DrawFast moving bird, at about 50 yards, at the end of a day. By now the 200-500mm Zoom was pretty heavy. I had a tough time staying on this guy for decent shots. This was not good, but among the best nonetheless. Used a very close crop to lose an annoying post intruding on the frame to save the frame.
